WHAT IS CONSIGNMENT?
We will help you sell your items and take a fee for doing that. When you bring your items in to us, we will select items that we believe will sell. You receive money after your items sell.
WHEN CAN I BRING ITEMS IN?
You may bring items in at anytime the store is open; no appointment is required.
WILL YOU ACCEPT EVERYTHING I BRING IN?
Bella Grande is committed to maintaining a higher level of merchandise within our boutique atmosphere. For that reason we're particular about the items we accept. We have a preference for those items that are mostly name brand and trendy; styles that can be found in major department or brand name stores today. Items must be brought in SELLABLE, ready-to-wear condition: freshly laundered, well-pressed, on disposable hangers or folded neatly in shopping bags, totes, or boxes. We don't accept discount brands, such as Basic Editions, Faded Glory, Premier, etc.
Items not meeting our acceptance criteria are called No Thank You's (NTY's) and are available for you to reclaim.
WHAT ITEMS WILL YOU ACCEPT?
We accept women's better brand clothing, accessories, and small gift items. (See "Consignment Information" to learn how we accept consignments).
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY ITEMS HAVE SOLD?
It is the consignor's responsibility to contact us regarding account balances or sold items. We do not call you regarding your account. Your account is credited immediately upon sale. Visit www.myresaleweb.com and you can check your account online. You can also call or stop by any time and we can tell you how much money is on your account. You may pick up any money on your account at any time or you may use it as store credit. We do not mail checks, unless requested, and there is a $1 check fee for mailed checks. Accounts with balances left dormant for one year are forfeited.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEMS DO NOT SELL?
After 60 days, unclaimed unsold items are moved to the clearance rack and sold for a few dollars, with the proceeds going to SIREN/Eaton Shelter. Any unsold clearance items are donated to the Eaton Clothing & Furniture Center.
WHAT IF I WANT MY UNSOLD ITEMS BACK?
As a Reclaiming Consignor, you will need to reclaim your unsold items within seven (7) days of the consignment expiration date. It will be your responsibility to locate, and remove from the sales floor, any unsold items within 7 days of expiration. Items are not reclaimed within 7 days of consignment expiration date they become the property of Bella Grande to dispose of in various ways, including sale and donation.
WHO SETS THE PRICES?
We do. We know what our customers are willing to pay for items. When you consign with us, we are in business together and we will price your items as high as possible, yet still make them marketable. If you consign something that you feel is very valuable, please let us know so we can price it accordingly.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES TO CONSIGNING WITH YOU vs HAVING A GARAGE SALE?
We will do all the work, and probably make you more money! We will:
- consign your items for 60 days
- do all the advertising
- be open 6 days a week
- provide dressing rooms
- display items nicely in our store (and out of bad weather)
- save you hours of labor
- make you more money!
Example: Jeans, garage sale price $2.00, our price $15.00 (you earn $6)
WHY SHOULD I CONSIGN WITH Bella Grande instead of ANOTHER SHOP?
When comparing consignment shops, consider everything. WE are the ONLY consignment shop in the area specializing in PLUS SIZE! We don't require an appointment to consign and there is no limit to the number of items you may consign at a time. Bella Grande is an efficient, well run shop that promises you organized account information, timely consignment payout fees, and systematic attractive displays of your consigned garments. We are open 6 days/week, When you consign with us, we are in business together. We will mark you items as high as possible, yet still make them marketable items. ABOUT RETURNS In-Store Purchases:
Returns are allowed for in-store purchases within 7 days. Tags must be attached and receipt for purchase included. Store credit or exchange; no cash back. Online Purchases:
Returns are accepted within 7 days of original purchase. Item must be returned in original condition with tags intact and receipt included. Purchaser pays return shipping. Store credit or exchange only.
